Description

These ranges of Induction Harden Teeth Sprockets are to suit B.S. Std Simplex Roller Chains to BS228/DIN8187/ISO606R.

Taper Bored/Brushed

This stock range of Simple & Duplex Pilot Bore Sprockets and Simpler Taper Bored with Induction Harden Teeth to min HRC45 to Max HRC55 are designed to cater for the chain drives with a gearing ratio of more that 1:1, where the smaller drive sprocket is rotating at a higher speed and is therefore in more contact with the harden roller and in turn presents more wear or for any application where excessive wear is undesirable.

In addition to this stock range we can provide a Flame Hardening Service to any of the standard stock range sizes that are produced from C45 Carbon Streel (Price and availability on request).

These sprockets can be machined to fulfil any of the following criteria:

  • To suit an imperial shaft size.
  • To suit a metric shaft size not listed in the standard shaft ready pre-machined range.
  • To suite a customer’s own requirements.

Beside these Pilot Bore and Taper Bushed range of sprockets with Induction Harden Teeth, the company also produced a shaft ready pre-machined Simplex range, which are finished bored and keyways centred on one tooth suitable for pairing, complete with 2 Grub screws and Induction Harden Teeth to suit metric shaft sizes.

Alt. Shaft Fixing

As an alternative to either Boring & Keywaying a pilot bore sprocket or using a Taper bored sprocket and Bush. Why not take a look at the range of Locking Bushes we now offer, as they eliminate the need for fixing via a Keyway-Key thereby providing the added benefit of a uniform distribution of the drive load over the entire diameter of the bush.
