Description
For British Standard Roller Chains to BS228-DIN8187-ISO606R
The Standard Design format of Taper Bush Sprocket, is for the Bush to be fitted from the boss side, and for most applications this does not create any major problem.
However when the drive sprocket is required to fit directly onto a Motor or Gearbox that has only a limited shaft length or when access to the locking Screws is restricted to one side, then it can prove difficult to tighten the locking screws into place. Hence the need for the Bush to fit in from the Teeth side, commonly known as a Reverse Taper Bored Sprocket.
The company now produces a Standard Stock Range of Reverse Taper Bored Sprockets which has been developed through its experience of Servicing its Customers over many years. Although this range now covers a number of Tooth and Pitch sizes, it is not endless. Therefore if you can not find the Tooth or Pitch size you are looking for here, then please do contact the Sales Department, as they can be produced upon request on short lead times.
