Description

These Giflex Back-lash free Flexible Spider Couplings are similar to the KTR range and are available in six stock sizes and cater for shafts size from 5.0mm to 40.0mm,and provide a Torque range of 18nm to 3250nm.

There are three types of Polyurethane Spiders, Blue 80 Shore, Yellow 92 Shore and Red 98 Shore, with the red providing an increase Torque loading capacity and are suitable for application with an ambient temperatures of -40°C to +125°C and for shorts peak load up to +150°C.

The Hubs are split so as to form a clamp, and once locked down take out any surplus play within the fitting and can be supplied as a nominal pilot type for finish machining to customer own shaft requirements or for volume users they can be ordered pre-machined to suit a range of shaft sizes, for full details please ask our Sales Department.

Tips

Tips

Be careful if you are only trying to replace just a hub or a spider as there are numerious Brands such as the Giflex, Rotex, KTR & FBX which are dimensional very similar but are not interchangeable? Therefore close attention need to be paid to the pitch of the spider as the can differ slightly? If in doubt replace the complete coupling!
